BTC s Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Academy prepares you for certification as a law enforcement officer. Over a course of 720 instructional hours (full- and part-time options available) recruits focus on the theories of law enforcement needed to be a sworn member of law enforcement in Wisconsin. In addition to the class instruction and hands-on practical exercises, recruits should plan at least a half hour of outside study time for every hour of class time. BTC Career Services helps students explore careers, prepare for the job application process and find current opportunities. BTC offers resume writing, mock interviews, job search techniques, and internships, when available.
Blackhawk Technical College provides free tutoring services to credit students enrolled at the college. We offer online, open lab and peer tutoring. Also counseling services are available.

Refunds are processed according to the Wisconsin Technical College System Refund Policy for program, material and activity fees. To receive refunds, you must formally request refunds from Registration and Records by notifying them of your intent to drop a class(es) or completely withdraw from all classes. Requests for refunds must be received during the same term of enrollment. Refund requests are time-sensitive as each day that passes may affect the amount of refund you are eligible.
